§ 15.508. Process for acquiring an easement by donation.

This section applies only to the donation of agricultural land preservation easements.
(a)

A landowner whose parcel meets the criteria of subsection 15.506(c) may apply to donate an easement to the County.

(b)

The application shall be completed by the landowner and submitted to the Administrator.

(c)

The Administrator shall make a report and recommendation to the Board. The Board shall then make a recommendation to the County Executive whether or not to accept the donation.

(d)

If the County Executive agrees to accept donation of an easement, the Executive shall send a letter to the landowner accepting the offer.
