§ 23.202. Duties of Risk Management Program Committee.

  • The Committee shall:

    (a)

    Set policy regarding the operation of the risk management fund.

    (b)

    Defend, compromise and pay claims asserted against the County or a governmental agency which has entered into an agreement with the County for pooled comprehensive risk management.

    (c)

    Provide protection against physical loss or damage to the property of the County or a governmental agency which has entered into an agreement with the County for pooled comprehensive risk management.

    (d)

    Employ actuaries, adjusters and other experts.

    (e)

    Provide for the direct and indirect expenses of legal representation and defense.

    (f)

    Adopt regulations.

    (g)

    Provide effective and efficient administration and operation of a comprehensive risk management program.
