§ 18.810. Operation.

(a)

After creation of the streetlight district, the Director of Public Works shall provide for the installation of the new streetlights in the district in accordance with the final plat.

(b)

Howard County shall assume the operating and maintenance costs for the new streetlights in the district, as shown on the final plat, with financing to be in accordance with section 20.700 of the Howard County Code.

(c)

Upon accepting title to any existing streetlights in the district, the County shall also assume their operating and maintenance costs. The County shall acquire an easement before accepting title to, or assuming operating and maintenance costs for, such existing streetlights located on private property adjacent to public roads.
