§ 3.228. Liability.
(a)
The Building Official or other person designated to enforce this subtitle while acting in good faith and without malice in the performance of their duties required by this Code shall not be personally liable for any damage occurring to persons or property as a result of any act or by reason of an act or omission in the discharge of their official duties.
(b)
A suit instituted against an officer or employee in the lawful discharge of duties and under the provisions of this subtitle shall be defended by the County.
(c)
The Building Official is not liable for the cost of any action, suit, or proceeding that is instituted pursuant to this subtitle.
